Smell that? Nope.
Over the past several months I've come to notice that my sense of smell isn't what it used to be. Gradually over this time I've lost most of my sense of smell to the point where I have to smother my food in fish sauce, garlic and chili to get any flavour at all. It's on top of my list of things to talk about when I see my Doc in March.

My wife also suffers from Wegeners Granulomatosis and about a year ago her sense of smell started to deminish, and now due to other complications caused by the disease can really only smell mucous, not an enjoyable experience at all.
Hi Andrew, I lost my sense of smell about 5 years ago.
The damage caused is irreparable, but at least I can taste.
Good luck mate.. I suffer daily, but my demeanour makes me fight this repugnant condition.

Halleluha!! (Not that you are suffering too but because I am not alone. ) I thought that I was the only one....I have lost my sence of smell for about a year now. It came and went at first and now it is totally gone. I did ask my ent people and they have no excuse but blamed it on the crusting. Velma F.
My smell isn't what it used to be, it irritates my wife when the puppy makes a mess in the house and I don't notice the smell. People still love my cooking, but I think I probably over season everything now---when the recipe calls for a clove of garlic I use almost an ear. . .
I lost my sense of smell early on, but have regained it. My WG did a number on my right sinus. I have had multiple surgeries to clear the scar tissue. I never thought I would smell again, but now I can due to a wonderful ENT.
Hope it ocmes back.
